Some individuals may be more at risk of abuse than others. For example, individuals who have care and support needs are not inherently vulnerable, but they may come to be at risk of abuse.

An individual may become more susceptible to abuse during specific times in their lives. For example, babies and individuals with learning disabilities are more at risk of abuse than other groups.

This Safeguarding Children, Young People and Adults Course will build on your knowledge of safeguarding vulnerable groups. When you have completed the awareness training, you should have a better understanding of what makes individuals vulnerable and the services that protect children, young people and adults.
